A New Look & New Name
As the 2018 season approaches, Emerald Youth Foundation looks forward to Knoxville’s soccer team – the Emerald Force – being a fierce competitor in the Southeast.
The Emerald Force men will continue to play in the National Premier Soccer League, and the Emerald Force women in the Women’s Premier Soccer League.
The NPSL and WPSL teams are owned and operated by Emerald Youth Foundation, a Christian, urban youth and community development ministry that serves more than 2,200 children, teens and young adults each year in Knoxville.
Emerald Youth works with churches and faith-based organizations to implement faith, learning and health programs designed to raise up young people to love Jesus Christ and become effective leaders who help renew their communities.
The rebranding of the team to Emerald Force, from its previous identity Knoxville Force, strengthens Emerald Youth Foundation’s commitment to soccer in Knoxville, especially with children and their families in the heart of the city.
With the name change comes a new crest for the club that incorporates Emerald Youth Foundation’s colors of green, yellow and white; the cross; and Knoxville’s landmark, the Sunsphere.
