Game Recap - Georgia Revolution June 30
The Emerald Force men's team finish off their final home game of the season with a 1-0 loss to the Georgia Revolution. It was a fairly slow game by both teams but it was the Revolution who were the only ones to get a goal giving them a 1-0 victory.
Both the Emerald Force and the Georgia Revolution held their own for the majority of the first as neither team gave up anything on either end of the ball. Rury Alvarez got a great look at goal with a Emerald free kick in the 25th minute, but the ball soared just to the right of the outside post. A couple of minutes later, AlexNyarko Harlley was able to sneak behind the back line of the defense and put one in giving the Georgia Revolution a 1-0 lead going to the half.
Neither team was able to get things rolling in the second half as there was a lot of sloppy play by both the Revolution and the Force. Despite the careless play, the Georgia Revolution were able to hold the Force off and secure a 1-0 victory in Knoxville.
The Emerald Force men's team will finish their season off next Saturday when they travel to Atlanta, Georgia to face the Atlanta Silverbacks. The Force lost 3-0 to the Silverbacks earlier in the season in Knoxville but hope to close their season strong and steal a victory on the road. That game will begin at 7:00pm at Silverbacks Park in Atlanta on July 7th.
