The Leagues

NPSL

The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is the successor to the Men's Premier Soccer League (MPSL), which was formed in 2002. In 2014, NPSL became the largest national soccer league in the US Soccer development pyramid with over 80 teams all over the country. The NPSL's mission is to grow the sport of soccer in the United States of America -- by providing our members with a sustainable business model and professionally managed soccer platform, and by serving as an inspiration to players and soccer fans in our members' communities.

The NPSL is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the governing body of soccer in the United States. The NPSL operates and is managed as a team-run league. The structure of the league allows each team to have one vote. Each team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining league minimum standards.

The Emerald Force SC men's team is based out of Knoxville, Tenn. It competes in the South region and the Southeast Conference of the NPSL against several other area teams, and is part of one of the largest Conferences in the NPSL.

The Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) was established in 1998. The WPSL has grown to more than 100 clubs and is the largest women’s soccer league in the world.  Team rosters consist of highly skilled players from collegiate, post-collegiate, international and standout prep athletes. The goal of the WPSL is to promote women’s soccer at the highest level and to provide opportunities for elite players across the nation to train and compete at a pre-professional level.

The WPSL is sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), which is an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the ruling body of soccer in the United States.

The Emerald Force SC women's team formed as an expansion of the Knoxville Force in 2012 and is based out of Knoxville, Tenn. The Emerald Force SC women's team competes in the Southeast division of the WPSL against several other area WPSL teams.
